W126, 300SDL cut wire in trunk
In troubleshooting another problem, I came across this cut wire in the trunk:
Any ideas what it is? The trunk light comes on and the locks throughout the car work correctly as well when I lock/unlock the trunk. The wire threads into the trunk lid arm.

The brown color says it's an earth wire.

Antenna? Brown is ground, look to see if there are any wires going to a nut/screw anywhere...someone might have replaced the bad ground with a new one to the body.

Ya, that doesn't look like the trunk lamp / alarm wiring. Find where it goes on each side
