E320 security problem
 

My wireless key stop working and the i tried to start the engine but red and green lights are switching in between on the rear mirror then the I tried to start my engine but useless its not working any more and someone told my it because of the security system need to be changed ... :(:(

The internals of the KEY has to send signal into the RING around the ignition switch.

A new key is always the starting point on that car.
