W210 OBD port not functioning?
 

My 99 E320 ck engine light is on, went to car quest , then auto zone for free scan, both were unable to get power when connecting to OBD port under dash. I can't find an itemization in either fuse panel for OBD, but i checked most fuses i thought would correspond and didn't find any fried.....something tells me its not as simple as a fuse. Any ideas most appreciated. Thx Hunter

I would start by having the dealer or well equipped indy scan using the SDS connector to ensure you know what is causing the CEL. As far as the OBD connector the only thing that comes to mind is a broken or damaged connector.

ODB2 connector on that W210 car uses power from fuse # 1 on the K40 power relay.
