W201 Heater fan selector switch (I, II, III) Replace Question?

I have a 87 190E and I'm trying to replace my switch on the dash for slecting the heater fan speed, Mine is broke and I took out the push button control pannel for the heater system which is located just under the switch I'm trying to replace. It is visible from underneith but I cant figre out how to replace it< i cant get it loose and I cant figure out how to loosen it, It shouldnt be that complicated? Can it?
any links that can be passed on or pixs would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance to any that can help me

To remove the blower switch, you must 1st remove the a/c control panel..

This is for 84 model w201

I am not sure about 87 model. You need to remove the central control 'cage' in my 84 model. The cage is held by 4 screws, 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. Remove the 2 top vents to access and remove the top screws. The bottom screws are on the left and right side of the radio or thereabout. Once the cage is out then you can do what you like.
