85 380SE-A/C blowing on windshield--Link to repair tutorial?
I did a search, but didnt find anything. I know this is a common problem, so thinking that most likely there is a DIY somewhere on how to replace the vacuum solenoid,.....or whatever else might be involved
BTW, the car holds door lock vacuum indifinitely, so, at least that circuit is air tight. Brian in Austin |
Order the defroster pod and both for the blend door... these are all behind the glove box. Remove the glove box liner and it is pretty much self explanatory from there. Unplug vac connections, twist out old pod, toss in trash. Twist in new pod, plug in vac connections. I can do all three in about 30 minutes including cleanup and pulling glove box liner.
Do you have the Factory Service Manual? |

Check for vacuum first. A loose or leaking vacuum hose under the hood can cause this problem. Cheap/free fix maybe.
