Hi all,
I have a 1972 W114 250CE. It has been modified with a 240D (OM616 engine running a pneumatic IP governor). The fuse box needs repopulating. Can someone please tell me what sizes of fuses need to be installed please? The fuses are numbered 1 to 12. I can also see another pair of fuses in front of the main fuse box.. I have checked the only electrical diagram I have found for the 250C/CE and it gives two definite fuse sizes (F1 and F2) but no more. Please see attached pic. Any help much appreciated. ![]() |

OM616 in a 250CE
I'm considering do the same engine swap. Did you use a OM616 from a W115 or W123. What performance difference did you notice? I assume the OM616 is much less powerful than the M114 engine but what was the feeling when driving the car after the swap.

Hello,
Eventually decided on an OM605 from a C250TD. The kit is gathered but have not been fitted due to other issues (tangled with a OM606 install in a W208 320 CLK Cabriolet........DONT DO IT!!!!). One of them is bound to go on the road soon, standby. I am sorry, I cannot help you with the real world driving habits right now, due to the above. I am not the one fitting it...just the idiot with the stupid ideas! |
