What is this part I found?
I found this part sitting in my coolant reservoir. can ome one please tell me what it is. it seems to be a thermostat but why is it in the coolant reservoir. any help is appreciated. car seems to be running normally without it.

Replace the cap! That part came from the bottom of the cap.
