Technical wizardry Brit style
 

The lights which illuminate my dashboard are fickle things,every once in a while one wont light.I can normally rectify this with a swift thump to the dashboard.I would like to correct this problem before I break my hand!Are the bulbs push fit or in line (i think that's the term like LED's)Any help would be appreciated:-Bear

Maybe its a dirty contact or just loose in the socket.
My '79 300D just uses bulbs . You need to remove the instrument cluster carefully in order not to
marr or cut the dash material etc.

Also, adjust the bolts on the rear of the cluster. Many loosen with age and vibration.
