distributor cap housing-560 SEL
 

In the past few days I've seen photos of a housing over the distributor cap. Don't have one on our car and would like to search the used market for one. What part name should I be asking for? Thanks.

hey guys! I think I've still got the part #'s written down for me to replace...I hope these are right but here goes:


for the actual cap is 0001585202
for the cover over the cap is 0001582185

Thanks to Mike and DJ. The part number brings back "suppressor housing" which PartShop stocks. Not a name I would have ever even considered.

DJ--I notice in your recent exchange with Mike on the 560 SEL accomplishments thread that you seem to have a vacuum schematic in or on your car. I've got a box of new fittings and line (my wife saw the bill last night-ouch) and the same line drawing Tangas has. Where is your diagram located?

The diagram is on the radiator support, just right of the radiator (to the left is standing at the front of the car).

DJ beat me to the part number, no problem I was working on the car :D.

Got home late last night, I'll look when I go out this morning. BTW, adjusted the throttle linkage to spec Tuesday night-corrected soft shift problem and greatly improved response. Will do full post soon, but make sure to check yours Mike.
