Stuck! trying to remove headlights W124 - Dualfan

I'm was thinking i should do something productive since i got bored and since i have facelift lights sitting, i was going to put em in.. but I'm stuck

i got all but 2 bolts out as they are blocked by the dualfan..

is there anyway i can remove em without taking off the dualfan assembly??

Yeah, just use a wrench, if it was easy everyone would do it.

Yeah. Persevere with it. They will eventually come out.

Yep, that one is a bit of a pisser. Just did it recently. Small combination wrench worked for me.

A wrench fits there nicely - and a german ELORA brand wrench fits there perfectly - its box end has a very strange offset that makes getting that bolt easy - almost as if it was made for it.

The threads are fairly course, they won't take too long. Sometimes you need to start pulling the lamp assembly out because the head of the screws will start contacting the fan, then you pull the headlight to the side and unscrew some more.

I did mine a few months ago with a small wrench. The left side was easy but the right side was a little tighter but you just have to get it loose.
