M103 Cam spec question
Miched the cam last night. Lobe height was 40.78mm to 41.12mm. Question is, is this enough variance to require thicker adjustment shims om the the two that were low. Seems to me that after the valves are ground and seated the stems will be "longer" and should make up the difference. Assuming the lifters are functioning correctly.

The hydraulic lifters have enough range to adjust for the ground valves. Additionally, many machinists take off an equal amount from the end of the valve stem when grinding the valves, so it's seated position does not change.
