560 SL Fuel Pump Shorted out... now no start

I have an 1986 560 SL. While trying to tighten the banjo fittings, I shorted out the wires with my wrench. ( I know...bad thing)

Now the fuel pumps will not turn on. If I supply power to the positive side of the pumps, they will come on.

I have replaced the fuel pump relay behind the glovebox, but the pumps still don't work.

Please HELP!!!

What fuse? I was told there was no fuel pump fuse on this model.
