Question, 1990 190E 2.6

There is a black hose that runs from under the car (1990 190E 2.6) right behind the transmission pan/mount up to the engine bay by the manifold, and goes into the firewall on the driver side. The black hose is somewhat deteriorated and has another clear/white hose inside of it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
