W201 Removing front bolt on LCA
 

I have removed the spring, gotten the nut off of the bolt, yet am still unable to remove the front bolt from the LCA.

I tried for three hours today, torqueing, hammering, chiseling, everything that I can get my hands on.

Any ideas for what I can try tomorrow?

Penetrating-Lubricating Oils

hmmmm I did this job a few months ago and it was fairly easy once the spring was off. The two bolts use locking nylon nuts, these are by the control arm bushing, you also need to remove the bolt that hold the ball joint in place. After I removed the locking nuts, I was able to get the bolt out fairly easy.....try using a jack to lift up slightly on the LCA so that the weight is not on the bolts and see if that helps.

PS: I kept a hammer on standby just incase.....the name of the hammer was Thor. It was big and heavy. I didn't have to use it.

There is a fair amount of visible rust, but nothing absurd for a car that has 126xxx miles on it. And I have applied PBlaster on every possible surface available. Hoping that some of it loosened up the bolt overnight.

I have the jack underneath the LCA, trying to remove pressure. What I'm thinking the problem is, is that the threads of the bolt are sitting on the housing, and it hasn't mattered how much I jack it up, or wiggle it, just seems almost like the bolt is stuck in the bushing.

Is that even possible? Can the bushing hold my bolt hostage? How can I meet it's demands?

That sounds like quite a dilema. Have you tried looking at the online repair manual for your vehicle? They often have solutions/ tricks for random problems such as these.
