w123 sun visor

Hi all
I am new here and bought 1 week ago a 1983 300td sw after 2 month of research and very happy with the car.
I have one minor problem with the sun visors which won't stay up.
I had to remove the driver one because it is kinda inconvenient to drive with it half way down.
They have the mirror and light which I guess makes it heavier.
I took apart the mirror but it doesn't lead me anywhere.
Does anyone managed to fix this problem before and how, or does it mean replacement of the whole thing?
I am a DIY type of person and used to be full time Diesel mechanic so I am not afraid of taking anything apart.
