2001 E320 4MATIC 1 Malfunction warning
 

Bought my wife a christmas present,,, but there is 1 malfunction

When you turn the car off, the display says 1 malfunction. The B service exceeded and SOS not active warnings are also displayed.

I reset the service B warning and now it's gone, but I still get the 1 Malfunction,,, What or how can I figure out what the malfunction is?

Can the SOS not activated be the malfunction? And how can I get the SOS light to turn off? I don't want the light on at all times.

A few modules need to be coded with the SDS to turn of the tele-aid warnings. You're looking at a trip to the dealer or a MB specialist.

I guess I really need to figure out what's causing the 1 malfunction. How do I figure this out? flipping through the display, the SOS not activated is the only thing other than mileage, trip odometer, and engine oil level ok displays.

Use the multi-function steering wheel buttons to scroll to the page that indicates the malfunction, then use the arrow up/down button to display the malfunction info. :)

The only "malfunction" shown is SOS not activated. The only other message is oil is proper level if car is level, or something to that extent.

Good, now all you need to do is have Tele-Aid coded out by someone equipped with SDS. :)

Perfect reason for me to buy an SDS, be nice to add that to my toolbox.
