Dead LCD temp display from 124 seeks repairman
It's dead. I replaced it with a spare, and I have temp readings again.
PN 124 542 01 05 from my 95 E300. Anybody want it to take apart and try to fix? It's light, so you pay one dollar shipping. |
ds,
Most of the time on these displays its a single capacitor that has died. An easy and cheap fix. |
I also have a dead late model 124 display lying with me - I also have a late model hirschmann antenna controller somewhere that had a burnt resistor.
Any ideas what cap on the display goes bad - I may attempt to fix it up, my repair was to source a used one for a grand sum of 9 dollars. |
