If you leave the BRIDGE in, instead of the fuel pump relay, does the engine stay running?

aspireelectronics 01-08-2013 02:07 PM

Hi doc,
No it just cranks, when relay reinstalled. Will run for Couple seconds then stall.
It just bogs down. Can fuel computer cause this symptom?

What fuel computer???? Check the rubber under the air flow meter and the rubber going thru the idle valve, this sounds like cracked rubber to me.

The engine can even run without the ECU, are both fuel pumps running? Engine will not start if one is not running.

Ok I spliced in 12v to fp at relay pump runs continuously
Same symptom.start then stall. Never tried to start vehicle without ecm.
But I did test with substitute ecm... Same system. I did note that
When cracking fuel inlet fitting at fd fuel rushes out vigorously.shot at least ten feet.
But immediately after. If u close fuel line. An operate pump. Then
Remove bridge.an open line theres no rest pressure. What is this indicating??
Also does this application hav a pump n thee tank.cus theres
Only one external pump. Please advise

Gilly 01-08-2013 08:38 PM

There is only one pump, there isn't one in the tank. (Some MBs have 2 pumps so it can be confusing)

Possble regulator or accumulator or EHA.

Possible bad fuel.

Possible ignition rotor or rotor bracket.

aspireelectronics 01-09-2013 04:25 AM

Hi Gilly,
I pinched rubber return line. And there is no rest pressure. Eha replaced symptom persist.
Drained fuel from tank.replenished fuel.rotor and cap are ok. Will replace fpr and accumulator, and report back

Gilly 01-09-2013 04:49 AM

Well I'd STOP replacing parts and find the problem for one thing.

Hey guys,
Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the ignition circuit for
This vehicle. I need to trace and diagnose the circuit that keeps
Engine running after key is released. Symptom vehicle starts
Effortlessly then stalls in a couple seconds.if you hold key after starting(overrun
Starter) vehicle continues to run when key is released.vehicle stall in couple seconds.
Need to diagnose the run circuit...

aspireelectronics 01-15-2013 02:43 PM

Oh btw replaced ignition switch, symptom persists
