W126 driver door lock issue
 

Hello all!

I'm having a issue locking/unlock on my 85 500sel. If I lock the car from the trunk all 4 lock/unlock no issue. But if I try to unlock/lock from driver door on,only the driver lock pops? I'm assuming since the trunk unlock all 4 doors there no vaccume issue but maybe the driver lock relay?


Also my dash lights are completely out, I checked all my fused but no luck?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Guys - what do you think? Actuator? They are about $25.

Also for the dash lights being out I herd it might be the "rheostat" from searching forums. But I still can't find any photos or tutorials on how to remove the cluster?

Perfect candidate to add keyless remote
 

If turning trunk with key can lock/unlock the whole car then I would just install keyless remote and forget about the driver lock pod. W126 chassis remote is coming.

What if it will only open manually with key at front doors? Trunk is always unlocked (lock operates but wont engage locked position). Also I had to use the manual fuel door release. Seem to be no vacuum at all.

The trunk lock sounds like mis adjustment or mechanical damage.

The fuel door is a damaged vacuum line or element.
