2006 C230 purchase
 

My father is looking to purchase a used '06 C230 with low mileage. Are there any problems to look for on the late W203 cars? How do they hold up with age? Anything in particular?

Many of the M272 engines in those cars have balance shaft issues, as well as intake manifold issues.

Was there any warranty or service campaign offered my MB to address those issues? The '06 C230 is the first year of the new V6 then correct?

In the W203 C-class it was the first year.

NO extended warranty coverage, make sure to buy MB extended warranty!

Mine was past the engine serial # with bad crankshaft sprocket, but replaced all 4 Cam magnets with updated ones $25 each, one was bad I just replaced all 4 CEL came on.
