Troubleshooting (Right Turn Only "Grinding / Rubbin" Noise)

2000 E430 4MATIC (119,000) miles.

I thought this might be related to loose trim, but it is not. I took my car down into my parking garage at work to listen for any odd sounds upon maneuvering. I did the full panalopy of figures and turns, when the parking lot was empty. The only sound I heard is when I turn to the right more than 45 degrees all the way to full turn there is a sort of metal on metal grating (not vibratory or grinding) but more like rubbing sound. I had this on another vehicle and thought it was the brakes or bearing.
But it could be related to ice / snow / slush since we've had some of that lately.

Symptom - rubbing / grating (not loud or vibratory) upon right turn at greater than 45 degrees (not intermittent but constant throughout turn at these degrees).

Anyone with advice or potential for troubleshooting this. Thanks, CJ
