Driver Door Lock Problems
 

Greetings all,

My driver door tumbler will not turn with the key in it. I have removed the interior panel and disconnected the actuator it is working fine. I am attempting to remove the door lock mechanism (see last post here http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/218897-w124-door-lock-problem.html) but I can not turn the tumbler to release an arm through a cutout.

Here's how I got the lock out even though the tumbler was still seized.

(with panel removed) you'll notice there is a rubber piece that turns with the key. This is why the key must be rotated to remove the tumbler. I actually - gently bent a metal piece allowing the tumbler to slide free.
