Climate control problems 190E
 

I now get to enjoy troubleshooting the climate control. I get hot air all of the time even when system is off. AC works from center console only. No air flow at foot position.
How do I determine whether it is pushbutton or servo related ?
How do you check if a servo has a vacumn leak?
How many servos does this car have and where are they ?
I just moved to Tucson and have not found a good independent shop yet, so i fix it myself or I continue to get hotter and hotter....

Purchase the Maintenance manual on Cd rom. I think you can get it at this web site. The diagnostics for the climate control are pretty good if you have the time to troubleshoot it. However fixing most stuff requires that you remove most of the dash panel. So I hope you have a spare car or like to get in way deep into a repair project. The cd rom gives you step by step analysis of the system.
