1992 300ce. Starts and idles but dies when pressing gas
 

I have a 1992 300ce that will start and idle but dies when pressing the gas pedal. Any help figuring out the problem would be very appreciated.

It would seem to be impossible to drive your 1992 300CE in that condition. How long have you had this problem? Replacing the Oxygen sensor in our 1991 300CE (same engine) resolved balky acceleration from a stop. Although it seems like your problem is much worse. What is the mileage and condition of your car? Is it routinely maintained?

I had a similar problem in my 300e, it was the cold start valve. Does your engine have one of those?
