1998 ML320 tranny swap to 1998 E320
 

Just checking to see if it could be done since I have a 1998 ML 320 transmission with computer. The transmission is starting to go in my 1998 E320. Looks like I can take the back tail housing loose from both and swap each one. Anybody think it will work?

The E320 should have a one piece trans case at the tail if rear drive, while the ML has an adaptor for the transfer case. Also, the trans output shaft between the two will be different. Is the E320 a 4 matic car? Is so there is a chance the swap will work.

Look at car-part dot com and look up both cars for interchange.
