V60 Phone and Comand system
 

When I got my CLK55AMGcab a few weeks ago, I opted NOT to get the $1900 telephone option because I already have this particular Motorola phone and I figured I could just get the install kit as an add on. Well, after the fact, and a visit to the service dept. to ask for this installation, I was just informed that the phone that comes with this kit is a "special" MB model with proprietary pin assignments to work properly. Is this true? And if so, there HAS to be an adapter of some sort to make this phone work. or at least some programming option? It doesn't make sense to get the same phone (which I paid $399 for with Verizon) again...

Can somebody help, or should I post in the Audio section?
