Engine Suddenly stopped, 1986 SEL
 

I started the car this morning and after less than a minute the engine stopped and not able to run it again after two or three tries. Battery is good and so as the starter.
The car was running perfectly the day before. The car just passed inspection and emission test a week ago. Any idea? what is the possibilities? help.......thanks.

HAve you checked for a spark at the plugs?

sometimes the distributor cap and/or rotor arm can just go at a moments notice. Check for the spark first then come back.

When you turn the key on - do you hear the fuel pumps in the rear? - if not check your fuel pump relay and fuse.
