W140 glass moonroof into W126

Hey guys,

Had a bit of a revelation the other day... read up on W126 and W140 interchangeable parts, as my sunroof has been defunct for quite a while... Rails, arms and seal are interchangeable.

Now, while that seems fine and dandy, I measured my steel panel up against a W140s... Exactly the same size-- Just under 37.5" by 20.125". Based on this, along with arm, rail and seal interchange, the panel should be as well!

I bought a used assembly out of a junked S500 for $150 bucks. comes with the whole cartridge. My only worry is that the sunscreen won't work, as the W126 lower rail may be different? I haven't had any concrete proof yet.

I pick up the assembly tomorrow, and am going to try to bang it out all day. Obviously going to let you W126ers how it goes! We all may be rolling with glass panels soon!
