chain guide removal
i am trying to get the chain guid pins loose not the tensioner.
i tried the home made tool. screwed it into the pin with a socket up around the block. must have used a cheap bolt because it broke off in the pin. tried an easy out and it broke in the screw, not so cheap that it would come out easily. now it looks as if i am screwed. i am going to try a dremel tool with a small diamond bit to see if i can remove the easy out and screw. if that doesn't work i'll probably just forget about the head gasket replacement and hope that nothing serious happens until the car is ready for burial. if anyone has any ideas i wuld appreciate them. thanks vincent |
