How to fool cooling fans to come on at 92c
I was look at K6JFRs page trying to figure out how to fool my fans.
As I said before in this forum a 1999 s320 has only two wires going to temp sensor,so cutting the red and splicing a 1.1K resistor advancing timing for more power, but make the tempgauge useless. I just don't see how my gauge and computer will work with a resistor, betwwen the two wires. Or should I run a wire from toggle switch to fan to over ride them.I'm doing everything possible to maintain a cool temp on the head.

Hey thank you all,What I'm trying to do is pervent my head from ever getting to hot,as you know the m104 engine eats headgaskets.I believe if I lower operating temps it will last longer. So far 180,000 miles no gasket, could be because of my 168f thermostat,I'd also like to know if a S500 fan would fit my engine, they have more blades.
