1995 E320 Sold but not forgotten
Sold my 1995 E320 - 288Kmiles on the clock. The unsolved limp mode problem and Chicago winters made me do it. Great car.
I have been driving a 2004 Lexes GS430 and it's not the same car for sure. So now I'm hunting for a 2002 E320. Having maintained my '95 for 10 years with the help of all members on this forum - is the 2002 the same as the 1995 for major issues - like the head gasket? Thanks for sharing your wisdom Tom Latos |

2002 E320 has a different engine entirely. It's a V6 and has no head gasket problems.
My E430 is one of the most trouble free cars I've ever owned. I think 2000-2002 E320 and E430's are among the most sorted and reliable cars MB ever made. There is only a 1-2 mpg penalty in the E430 vs. the E320, so don't rule out the V8.
