02 SLK32 AMG Yaw Sensor or Steering Angle Sensor

When accelerating hard in a corner the transmission hunts and the car won't take the throttle. In a straight line it's normal and accelerates great.

Ran a scan and DTC's for Yaw Sensor and Steering Angle Sensor.

Could the Yaw Sensor be triggering the SAS or do both need to be replaced?

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

Was the vehicle scanned with DAS / Xentry or a generic third party scan tool? Assuming it was scanned with the proprietary software for that generation of car it would be DAS. Were the codes for the steering angle sensor stored?

Keep in mind, you will get steering angle sensor codes if the battery has died or been replaced but never cleared...

I recently went through this exact symptom with a clients low mileage 220 S500. We replaced the yaw sensor which rectified his symptom.
