Broken / damaged MAF wire - 02 e320
Hello,
My apologies as I posted this at the end of a thread under spark plugs but I'm afraid it may die there b/c it's not spark plug issue at all. Long story aside, here is what's relevant: In replacing spark plugs I did not unhook the MAF but just flopped it, wires and all, out of the way. Think in doing so I damaged (at least) the 'hot' wire #2. I get a CEL and codes p0102 & p0112. When I used a voltage sensor on wire no. 2 it flickers on and off. So am pretty convinced that's the problem (wire damage). Took it to the best electrical people in town but they won't touch it; liability issues I imagine. I cannot stomach $1k+ for a new wire harness and install. Only other thing I can think is to replace with a used one. Questions: Does this seem a logical conclusion (what I've stated so far as to what the problem is), and could a relative novice replace the entire harness if I go that route. THANKS!! |
Get in touch with Victor@installyourplasma.com He is good at rewiring.
