Coolant Leak location????

1990 190E

Have a coolant leak which seems pretty significant. There was a large puddle that actually appears to be originating from somehere between oil pan and alternator. I can't see for sure yet, will have to examin in the morning. As far as I can tell the hoses are dry and intact and so is the radiator. I do recall the signs of a bad water pump, but I wouldn't expect it to drain my entire coolant tank. Any suggestions/theories??

2.3 or 2.6?

Could be the tank itself or if the pressure cap is bad maybe puking coolant into the overflow tank which is then also overflowing.

Problem solved. Had a small leak on hose going into the engine block from the driver side firewall.

Solution: Since it was a small leak that was right by the hose clamp I just cut the piece off and reclamped. Perfect fit, everthing os sealed up and working as it should be.

Jack it up, and lower the car onto a couple jackstands and take a look down there on your back with a trouble light. That's the only way I've ever tracked down coolant OR oil/fluid leaks.....
