Hi folks:

Does anyone have a DIY instructions for a valve cover gasket replacement for a M271 engine? No leaks yet on the outside but saw some oil in the spark plug wells. Thanks!

The oil in your spark plug wells is not from the valve cover gasket. It's the spark plug seals inside the valve cover. I replaced mine when I replaced the spark plugs.

Thanks! I figured that much from the searches I have performed on the site.

I need the proper procedure to change the valve cover gasket and the spark plug seals. I could not find any on my searches - maybe I just missed it.

The written and visual support instructions provided by this site and its members are spot on and that's what I'm hoping to find.
