W201 Replaced Rear Shocks- Now Springs Creak

I replaced my rear shocks, sway bar bushings and links with success except now the rear springs creak when pressure is applied/going over bumps. The most peculiar thing is the creaking only appears on a dry sunny day! I removed both shocks and re-tightened them to no avail. After much time spent underneath trying isolate the noise I am still convinced the creaking is coming from the springs. Too heavy metallic to be the sway bar. The car has 70,000 miles and the shocks and components were originals. Could I have upset the spring pads or spring seating? Absolutely baffling. Car handles nicely though.

could be the rubber components. Try using some water to wet down the rubber bushings, avoid the springs, and see if that helps. Then try spraying the spring and springs seating pad with lithium grease.

Had similar creaking after suspension was replaced on our 190d with H&R springs, konis in front and kyb rear. Went away after a few weeks of driving, I think it was the springs settling in on the spring pads or something.
