Am I being a foolish cheapskate?

With a previous front rotor change @ 50m I did not renew the caliper bolts as suggested by MBZ. I just did them again @106m but I did renew the bolts this time.

Does everybody here renew the bolts at rotor change or do you reuse them?

This is news to me. I just clean them off and use new bluloctite.

You're supposed to change caliper bolts? First I've heard of that. Is this one of the newer models?

New MB bolts come with the loctite already applied to the threads.

If you use new bolts, you will have loctite.
If you reuse your bolts, maybe they got loctite, maybe they didn't.

Just a belt and suspenders approach by MB.

I don't profess to understand the reasoning behind some of the decisions or recommendations MB makes. Maybe it's loctite, maybe it's stretched threads.

I'm replacing the RWB in my W210 in the immediate future (doing the rear brakes at the same time for obvious reasons!) and the kits (FAG from PP) came with new caliper bolts, so it's kinda obvious those will get changed.
