C36 Rattle/thump Sound??????

I HAVE AN ANNOYING RATTLING/THUMPING/SQUEAKING SOUND IN MY C36 THAT SEEMS TO EMMINATE FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR SUSPENSION AREA (TRUNK?FENDER?SUSPENSION?) IT WAS CHECKED OUT AT A M-B DEALER AND THEY COULDN'T FIND IT, BUT I BELIEVE THAT IT MIGHT BE COMING FROM A SUSPENSION BUSHING. IT ONLY SEEMS TO TO HAPPEN A LOW SPEED AND ONLY WHEN THERE IS SMALL SUSPENSION MOVEMENT. ANYWAY I'M STUMPED... ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS...

Any help on this??? I have removed all of the trunk panels and haven't found anything loose (pwr anttenna, stereo amp, spare, etc) Removed rear seat, nothing there either. I'm pretty well convinced it must be a suspension issue. Any have any ideas on what could be causing this sound. Again it's unusual klunking/thunking sound?????

The primary suspect would be bushings and links for the swaybar or damper. These usually produces a thumping "soft" sound when worn.

If it is more of a rattling/metallic sound it might be the exhaust that is too close to a suspension component.
