c230k 1999 stalling while driving
 

Hello! I have a problem with stalling while driving. The car will start up after it cools down, then will stall again. How would I know if i need a crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor? I have already replaced the coils and it did not fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

your best bet is to pull codes.Then fix the problem I believe when your crankshaft goes there no start anymore.You might have a cam sensor too.Which should make it run like ****.
Napa has a good code reader for mercedes,maybe they would pull codes for you.

My 2000 C280 had a random no-start which progressed to a random shut down while driving. After sitting for a few minutes, car would start and run normally until the next episode. I tried the camshaft PS but replacing the crankshaft PS finally solved the problem. Parts dealers shows the same part for both cars.

I have an OBD reader and it never showed any codes since when I got the car home it was fine. Never had the reader with me when the car wouldn't start or had a random shut down.
