Question Transmission Question 1988 300E (Need Technical help)n

I have a 1988 300E that I would like to pull behind my RV all wheels down with a towbar. Many ML's are pulled this way with the addition of a Ramco oil pump. Ramco does not recommend this application, however admits many are on the road working fine. They do not know of 300E being pulled this way.If it is OK for ML why not for the 300E. Is the transmission so much different. You can pull car with engine ideling and no problem with lubrication. The easy answer has been why do I not use a drive shaft disconnect, however, since many, many cars are pulled 4 down with a pump why not the 300E NEED HELP FROM A TRANS EXPERT
