w201 front control arm bushings?

i have been looking at front control arm bushings for my w201. i have come across two different kits. one has 4 pieces (half bushings that get pressed in both sides) and the other has three pieces (two half bushings and one whole bushing) it looks like my car has the three piece kit stock. My question is...Is there a difference between the two kits or will either one work? is the 4 piece an upgraded part? i am looking at lemforder but they only have the 4 piece kit. Any one know whats up with this?

Actually, you would need both of those. The 4 half bushings are for the front of the LCA and the single long one that looks like its in a metal sleeve is for the rear part of the LCA that pivots. If you are doing that job you might as well get the entire assembly that comes with the ball joint too so you can get those done as well.

i am also doing the ball joints. it looks like it will be cheaper to buy bushings and joints than the full assembly.

so the kit i was looking at (1243300575) was for front control arm, front bushing, left and right? and i will need the rear bushings for the front control arm as well?

i was under the impression that it was both bushings for one side.

in that case the second pic would be both bushings for one side then?

im getting lost in the terminology. ha

The whole assemblies can usually be had for about $188-$200 each. Thats what I ended up doing. They were Lemforder brand.

I bought two kits from a haus in Arizona. The kits are the same as the first picture I posted above. P/n 124 330 05 75. I know this kit is for a w124 but it is the only kit that came up when I specified 190d turbo. When I looked up the kit for a 190d n/a I got a different part number that looked like the second picture posted above.

The kit I received has 4 half bushings. Two have two nubs on them and are p/n 124 333 4314. Two have three nubs and are p/n 124 333 2414.

I have a few questions.

Will the kit I ordered work with my car?
Which set of half bushings go where? (How many nubs for front of a-arm and how many for rear?)
Am I correct to assume that if I use these kits I will end of with a stiffer ride because their is less pivot in the rear bushing?

FYI. I also ordered new ball joints (po replaced with cheapies). All the parts I ordered are lemforder.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I will try to post pictures of my actual parts.
