w201 722.4 valve body

Is it possible to access the valve body accumulator switches without removing the transmission? Could I gain access by just removing the transmission pan?

The accumulators are in the lower portion of the v/b so it should be easy but depending on what you're going in after you may need to drop the filter.

Took the valve body off which was surprisingly easy. My goal was to inspect the accumulator switches because of a lead that I received about my reverse making a whistling noise and/or not having reverse, or very little reverse. Its been going on a few years now since the reverse has been problematic, but I did not get a rebuild because one day the reverse was fully functional. I decided to check the valve body and they only thing I did find was 2 beige looking o-rings around a plastic part that looked like they needed replacing. Both had a diagonal cut, maybe they are like that on purpose, I'm not sure. But they were shrunken and allowed the part to move a littler too freely so I replaced them with new o-rings. I have not noticed a difference in the reverse and I think the whistling noise may still be present
