How to read OBDII for MAS?

I hooked up a generic OBDII scanner on my car with the check engine light on and a code of p0170. I tried to get a live reading of the MAS. What am I looking for?

I get this reading of 0.60-0.63 at idle and as I add gas , the reading climbs...more I rev the more it climbs.

Is this the right reading to diagnose for a faulty MAS?

I searched toe forums and have seent hat a 1.25 readind for a MAS is bad. What exaclty is that reading compared to mine?

I think you are reading the return VOLTAGE from the MAF sensor, at idle & that should be around 1V.
The correction factor(partial load) at 1.25 is the figure that will turn the check engine lamp on.
