Limited Slip Gear Oil
Does anyone know if MB still has the 90W Limited Slip Gear Oil? I ordered some for my 16V but received a universal 75-90W gear oil with the same part number of the limited slip gear oil? Does this make sense?
Thanks |

If you received # 001-989-17-03-10 then you have the correct oil!!

BTW- SWEPCO (http://www.swepcousa.com) has a differential oil with built-in modifiers for limited-slip usage.
Rick Ellinger of RC Imports (http://www.rc-imports.com) who races MBZ's swears by them, as well as I do (I have a 16v limited-slip diff in the wagon), and some members of the Porsche Club. You can get them from RiteGear (http://www.ritegear.com). Good luck, :-) neil 1988 360TE AMG 1993 500E |
