Got it running! sort of...need a little assistance
Hey guys. So, I inherited an 85 280SE. It had been sitting for around a year when it was given to me. I ended up dumping the fuel, replacing the fuel pump, verifing the fuel pump relay, rebuilt the fuel distributer (P.I.T.A.). Earlier today, I was able to adjust the air fuel ratio screw, let it run for 5-10 minutes and slowly adjusted the ratio until the R.P.M.'s were at around 900. I jumped in once it was warmish and drove it. It wanted to stall and was falling over it self with no power at all. I was wondering what may be happenning. Figured the almighty gurus may shed some light on what may be happenning. I was figuring the ratio/idle was off needing more fine tuning.

Have you checked the control pressure? The WUR (Warm Up Regulator) could be bad or not getting power. Also there is a filter in the input (line from the center of the fuel dist) that could be plugged.
