CIS Injections
I have the opportunity to strip an 89 190E for parts and stuff. Does anybody know if the CIS off of that car will work for my 85 280SE? I will go and get the numbers off of the system on Monday but was wanting to know sooner if possible.

Those are different systems.

While the two systems are indeed different in many details, they are both K-jetronic (CIS) systems, and both operate with closed loop control of mixture.
If the later system (KE) is installed on a six-cylinder engine (M103), and if you were to take ALL of the components, including the engine control unit (ECU), all the engine sensors, and the wiring harness, then those components could be adapted to the M110 engine. |
Geez...I was just looking for a quick fix. Not worth it. I just have an idle problem that stumbles over itself when in gear with NO power. THought I could maybe bypass the problem.
