Thanks again! that's my plan just called my guy and he is gonna get the conductor plate ordered...he is just worried that I am on the road to needing a rebuild..wants me to drop pan and check for shavings or lots a clutch material. This may just be a bandaid for now.

10:1 the conductor plate is not bad, since the fluid in the TCM will cause those symptoms too, but at your mileage it isi not necessarily a bad idea. Have him check the solenoids, and replace any questionable ones while at it. I don't think this points at all to early trans failure unless he sees some unusual swarf in the pan.
Also do the shifter linkage bushings - it's a tight squeeze and he probably has the tool for it.

Finally got my e320 back from my favorite Indy shop . New conductor plate, reman TCM, cleaned wiring harness, full transmission service, and new plug, gaskets etc for. $1668. I really wanted to tackle this job myself but having no time was a deal killer for me. Runs and drives great!

Now I am worried about the 2010 f150 4.6 triton I bought last night with 69k miles... Was checking the oil this am and it's mixing coolant or water in the oil. The radiator cap had think oily goo around the cap. I am beyond furious !!!!!!
