95 E320 Headlights Won't Turn On *HELP*

The light knob will not allow me to turn on my headlights. It only goes to the Parking Lights and no further. I am still able to pull the knob out to turn on the Fog Lights however. Big problem or easy fix??

Yeah... wasn't that fun finding out that my low-beams weren't working after work tonight at 5 PM... Thank God those Fog Lights worked! Any help would me much appreciated! Thank you in advance

The switch has finally gave in. You need a new switch. Same thing happened to me once but it was a bit worse, my switch completely failed to work even in parking lamp position, so I had to drive home with one hand on the switch keeping it in the ON position.

Buy a replacement and make sure its only OE Mercedes Benz Part with geprufte qualitat sticker on it. This switch is not your simple average car light switch.

I got the OE item from when this site was not owned by Pelican, Works perfectly - get a new knob too.

To take it out you have to undo the knee panel to remove the connector at the back of it.

Do you have high beams?...I had a similar problem and thought I'd have to replace the Multi-switch, however, a can of electrical contact spray, sprayed generously into the stalk switch, brought back my low beams and everything has been working perfectly for the past six months. Someone mentioned that factoid on this forum and it was the easiest repair ever!
