ABS Control Module location? '99 E320 Wagon
Hey guys,
I'm having the elusive BAS/ASR light problem. It only happens after driving down the road for a few minutes and doesn't seem to be brake switch related because I'm not braking any time it comes on. I was thinking of getting a used ABS module and replacing that to see if it's the culprit. Can anyone tell me exactly where it's located? Pictures possibly? Thanks in advance! RF

On my 97 E320 it is in the right side box under the hood at the base of the windshield. The aluminum box is bolted to the engine computer.
However, before you go changing parts, scan for codes. Failed speed sensors generally more common than a computer failure. |

Good advice from SL320, having codes read. FWIW, a brake light switch can be failing without applying the brakes and is the most common failure point.
