leaking trans pan gasket

I have a question regarding the transmission pan. I have a leak in the gasket are that I can't seem to stop. I have replaced the gasket several times to no avail. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can use to try and stop the leak, I thought about sealing it with silicone RTV but am not sure if that will cause other problems. I assume its coming from the gasket interface as I don' notice any above that area. ken
